Have you ever had a bad day? Unfortunately, we all have. Some days, it is rough to get out of bed, focus in class, and deal with the pressure of balancing everything. In these moments, our attitude can shift from positive to negative quickly. We can find ourselves making bad decisions and possibly being unpleasant to our friends, spouses, or people in general. Instead of allowing stress and a negative mindset to prevail, we can remind ourselves of Paul’s words in the Bible in Philippians 2:5 which says, "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had." Jesus dealt with stress, demanding people, and even death on the cross. No matter what he experienced, he remained focused on the mission God gave him. This shows us that life will be stressful, but as Jesus maintained a good attitude and exhibited love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). For us to follow this example and commit to a Jesus-Centered Attitude, we can follow the steps of Jesus and do our best not to allow what happens to us to affect us negatively.
Try asking Jesus in prayer to transform your attitude into a Jesus-Centered Attitude today.
